Bonjour chers tous,

Dans cette seconde partie nous parlerons des notions que nous retrouvons dans nos usages sur les réseaux sociaux.

Custom timelines (timeline personnalisables) : service qui permet à un utilisateur de Twitter de créer un fil d’actualité personnalisé pour mettre en avant des tweets qu’il aura sélectionné au préalable, sur une thématique précise. Peut-être utile pour mettre en place une stratégie de veille.

Digital Native : personne qui a grandi dans un environnement numérique, avec les ordinateurs, l’internet, les téléphones mobiles… Elle n’a pas eu besoin d’acquérir des compétences spécifiques pour s’adapter à une technologie naissante, contrairement aux générations précédentes. La génération des digital native est considérée comme celle ayant entre 10 et 25 actuellement.

DM (Direct Message) : Message privé sur Twitter.

DM Fail : message qui aurait du être privé, mais qu’un utilisateur publie par inadvertance à la totalité de ses abonnés.

Données personnelles : informations qui permettent d’identifier une personne. Elle peuvent être nominatives (nom, prénom…), liées à votre identité (numéro de téléphone, numéro de sécurité sociale, plaque d’immatriculation), électroniques (vos données de connexion, votre historique de navigation…) ou biométriques (empreintes digitales, ADN…)

Edge rank : algorithme de Facebook qui fait le tri automatiquement parmi les activités postées par vos amis et celles publiées par les pages que vous avez aimé. Il repose sur trois ingrédients : l’affinité entre un contenu et l’utilisateur, le poids du post qui dépend de sa typologie (photo, vidéo etc.), et enfin la fréquence des posts.

E-reputation : identité et notoriété d’une entreprise ou d’une personne sur le Web, formées par sa présence sur les réseaux sociaux, les informations qu’on trouve sur elle, les avis, les commentaires, les rumeurs. L’e-réputation peut-être améliorée via la mise en place d’une stratégie spécifique qui vise, entre autres, à surveiller les discussions autour de sa marque, et à y répondre par des actions de communication spécifiques.

Fact checking : en français la vérification des faits. En théorie, c’est la la base du journalisme. Mais cette pratique est aussi devenue une fonction spécifique au Web, car les journalistes peuvent faire appel au crowdsourcing pour faciliter le fact checking.

Fail : en français “ratage” ou “action manquée”. Le fait sur les réseaux sociaux d’effectuer une manipulation erronée, comme de publier un message qui devait rester privé.

Fake : faux, truqué, usurpé en anglais. Désigne généralement un faux compte sur les réseaux sociaux, qui cherchera à faire passer une information erronée ou une photo truquée.

Fil d’actualité : page qui rassemble l’ensemble des activités des personnes auxquelles un utilisateur est abonné sur les réseaux sociaux. Chaque réseau fonctionne avec un fil d’actualité pour voir ce que font les autres et un profil / journal qui permet de rassembler ses propres informations et activités.

Flash (Adobe Flash) : technologie développée par la société Adobe, qui permet d’ajouter des animations et des objets interactifs sur une page web, comme des publicités, des jeux vidéos, des publicités animées ou encore des vidéos en streaming. Les contenus encapsulés dans ce format ne sont pas tous forcément compatibles avec les principaux systèmes d’exploitation mobile comme Android (Google) ou iOS (Apple).

FF (Follow Friday) : syntaxe spécifique à Twitter, toujours précédée d’un hashtag. Utilisé le vendredi pour recommander à ses abonnés des comptes que l’on trouve pertinents, un peu comme une dédicace.

Flux rss (really simple syndication) : service qui permet au lecteur d’un site d’actualité ou d’un blog d’être prévenu automatiquement des dernières mises à jours sur ces sites. Les flux Rss peuvent être lus et consultés via un agrégateur, que l’on peut paramétrer à sa convenance

Geek : Fan d’informatique, de science-fiction, de jeux vidéo, etc. Toujours à l’affût des nouveautés et des améliorations à apporter aux technologies numériques (définition par le dictionnaire Larousse)

Géolocalisation : fonctionnalité d’un smartphone qui permet de donner votre position géographique (via le GPS par exemple). Celle-ci pourra être diffusée sur les réseaux ou utilisée à des fins publicitaires.

GIF : acronyme pour Graphics Interchange Format. Format d’image numérique couramment utilisé sur le Web. Le GIF devient animé lorsque plusieurs images qui défilent sont stockées dans un même fichier, créant ainsi un mini diaporama ou une animation. Ce type de format est énormément utilisé sur des plates-formes de micro blogging comme Tumblr.

Graph search : fonctionnalités de recherche avancée proposées par Facebook, uniquement dans sa version anglophone pour l’instant, qui permettent d’approfondir l’exploration des profils des utilisateurs.

Hangouts : service de messagerie instantanée et de visio-conférence, accessible via Google Gmail ou Google Plus. Il dispose de fonctionnalités telles que l’historique des conversations, l’envoi d’image et la gestion de conférences pouvant aller jusqu’à 10 utilisateurs.

Hashtag (ou mot dièse) : mot-clé précédé d’un dièse (ou croisillon) qui permet d’attribuer un thème précis à une conversation sur les réseaux sociaux. Tout d’abord popularisé par Twitter, il fait désormais partie de la syntaxe commune à tous les réseaux sociaux. Ces hashtag sont cliquables et permettent aux internautes de retrouver facilement tous les tweets ou tous les messages qui traitent d’un même sujet, par exemple #Mooc
